Exchange with my good friend WORK-IS-PLAY
I owe this dude a lot! Some of ya' know this story, some of ya' don't. You see I didn't start Graffiti Nation, I was invited just like everybody else. I took some time away from dA 'round that time, thinkin' that GN would just go on with out me.........
Well, In a month or two I came back to find a HUGE mess with my name as the sole founder. Bad review, angry artist, and a baned list. On the top of the list was WORK-IS-PLAY. WORK had tried, tried, and tried to make the group open and a place people wanted to post. I think he knew what I would have wanted it to be. Him and the original founder butted heads several times.
Now I mean no disrespect to the original founder of Graffiti Nation, a club is a hard thing to run. They where new to everybody, and that #$@! is confusin'. I still haven't gotten GN the way I want it, and haven't put as much energy in it as I would like. I'm so proud of that group, and it's all because of the guy who started it all. I would never have started my own group, but DAMN it was awesome to be "pushed" into one. Story of my life.
When I got back, realized the situation, and started to fix it. One of the first things I did was ask WORK-IS-PLAY if he would like to be a founder with me. He was so beat up by the experience he declined.....can't blame him. You see for the longest time he fought my fight for me, and for that I can not show him enough RESPECT.
Much love to you W-I-P and thank you for all you have done for me. You will always have a place at Graffiti Nation, and always know that you are one of the main components in it's beginnin' Hope you dig this brother......oh and !@$& Mr. BrainWash, hoax or not
Lets mes knows whats yous thinks!
P.S. Yes, yes I know that I quoted a classic japanimation, and put Chinese characters in this piece . I'm not that dumb.....or that American. Just had to give a little Akira quote. W-I-P is almost as big a fan of that movie as I am.....almost
