A character exchange with one of my heroes
I did one of his GREAT original characters, Professor Tengu.
I really think SPARKY is genius! He is down to earth too, and I don't think he really knows how skilled he is. He speaks softly and carries a huge stick.
One of the hardest things to do in character work is not knowin' what to put into it, it is knowin' what to leave out. I have never mastered this like SPARKY has. Now don't get me wrong his work is far from simple, it is very complex. However, he has this way of sayin' a lot, with very little line work. His body structure and movement is executed with ease. The character have a gracefulness 'bout them. Just the right amount of detail, but not an overkill. I look up to that very much.
The thing that I
really enjoy 'bout his work, it the huge amount of originality and style. I am addicted to originality and style (as most of my friends know), and I always leave satisfied with SPARKY's work. I would know his work anywhere. Moreover, it is always fun.
